thanks guys for the help it turns out that the new 2.2 eu firmware doesnt work with the pc software 2.0.i now have 2.0/2.0 working with my vista laptop

btw you can downgrade these units foranyone else with the same problem

looks like you already got the correct answer.

The S/W on the ULT must match the S/W on the laptop
