Default Fans aren't going on

I have an FI setup with an AEM EMS and I don't think my rad fans are turning on. I replaced the stock fans with slim fans but kept the same wiring. They turn on fine when I put the AC on but otherwise I don't think they go on. The tuner thought there may be an issue when I last brought it in. The only thing I can think of is that I have not yet bought the modifry temp gauge fix. I don't know how they worked before I put the AEM EMS in, but the temp gauge already read middle bar before then after it warmed up. Never more or less.

Your coolant temperature sensor could be bad. It may not see that the temperature is getting hot enough to turn the fans on. The fans always turn on when the a/c is on to cool the condenser. Are both fans turning on with the a/c on?

Stock fan switch turns fans on at 190 deg and off at 180. I just checked this out on my S yesterday. do you have series 1 or series 2 AEM ECU? It will not make any difference on when fans start, but series one will only dispay one bar on the display.

you sure about that? I ran an OBD2 scan tool for a while when the car was NA, rad fan came on at 205 degrees like clockwork. 00' ECU

Are you running a Version 1 or Series 2?

Correct stock fans turn on at ~205 and off around ~195

I have series one AEM EMS. I don't really want to put the ac on when im driving just to have the fans come on. I have been thinking of wiring them so they are always on.

We are both wrong - turn on at 93 deg C or 199.4 deg F - guess my new gauges have some lag in showing correct temp. but they dropped of line after 10 deg drop in engine temp.

you sure it wasnt 199.4355 deg ? 199.4 seems a little low

E-mail me your calibration and I will make the needed adjustments you most likely need for the fans to come on
