That's not cool at all.
Just heard back:

"Mechanically everything appears fine. ***** (name taken out) has looked into the tuning and says that the emanage is working fine. Basically we cannot figure out what is wrong with your car. "

So...there you go. I am gonna see when I can pick up the car and just take it home and drive it up to 5500-6000 rpms until I can hears some good news from darryl at ultimate Racing or take it to a new shop.

I haven't put that shitty UR Gen2 manifold on mine but I'm pretty sure that's the problem.

Cody at LoveFab is building me a one off manifold that will work with the UR kit. He says it's going to be really close to equal length and should be one sick manifold and will kill the log style. If you go to the LoveFab website, take a look at the mini me, this is what mine is going to be like.

Maybe you should consider this option.

I think Esstookay has the Gen 1 manifold... could be wrong though.

It's strange though because UR's gen 2 kit makes more power than the gen 1.

Yes you would have to re-tune the car.

Upon driving my car again and really listening to it, I notice that the BOV is releasing air while at partial thottle. Unless I misunderstand it, the BOV doens't make any sound until it's supposed to right? i.e. give it some gas and then let off.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but my thinking is maybe my BOV is malfunctioning, perhaps bleeding boost?

Also, what changes in sound should I hear when I adjust the BOV on the back. just different relief sounds? it goes from a normal pssshh sound, and if i adjust, it almost flutters. Perhaps it's too much adjustment?

Thanks.

That would definitely cause some problems. I can't understand why the tuner didn't catch this.

You should not hear anything until you let off the throttle and then a quick Pssssh sound. If you are hearing this while boosting, either there is something wrong with BOV or you may need to tighten the BOV's adjustment screw. Just loosen the jam nut and turn the screw in about 2 or 3 turns or until there is a little tension and then a turn or so further after that. Don't forget to retighten the jam screw.

Maybe this will fix the problem. Good luck.

OK, i didn't know there was a jam screw. I just saw that you can adjust the screw on the back of the valve.

Let me give that a try...I tightened it earlier this weekend and noticed the fluttering sound. Does that mean it's too tight, or too loose still?

The way I understand it is.......The farther the screw is tightened in the harder it will be for the air to release. With a tighter spring rate(because of tightening the screw in) the air won't be able to leak out until the pressure is high enough. Basically like a wastegate. Except with the wastegate, you either change the spring or adjust the boost by manipulating the pressure it sees.

Hope I explained this ok.

Try it really loose, then a little tight, and then fairly tighter and see if there is a difference. And there should be a jam nut on the screw also to keep it from backing out.
