S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Finally got the car on a dyno...

I noticed the jam nut was loose, so I kept it loose, and tightened the screw...it never got very tight, so it's just about all the way in, and I tightened the jam nut. No more fluttering noises, but...I can still hear a leak or somethign when under something like 75% throttle...

I give it a little gas at higher rpms (make sure I'm spooling) and just keep the gas there and I can hear it hiss. :/

Just make sure the jam nut is tight up against the BOV, not tight up against the head of the bolt. This keeps the bolt from backing out under vibration. I keep mine set with about a quarter of an inch of threads showing between the jam nut and bolt head when everything is tightened up.

I'm not too sure why you would still be hearing a hissing noise. Check and make sure that your aren't leaking some where between the charge pipes and throttle body. Just make sure all the charge pipe rubber couplers are connected securely and not leaking boost.

really sounds like it's from the BOV. I looked closer, it's when my boost guage is showing about a 5lb vacuum. When I keep it in that range, I hear that hissing noise. I believe it's the BOV also b/c when I do gas it a little, when I'm shifting I shift a little slower to try and take notice, and it seems to release the pressure just a bit earlier...well leak it is more like the description I can translate to you.

will back the screw out and set it (mine used to be out about a 1/4 of an inch as well), and will check the IC piping and rubber couplings.

If it is the BOV, get ahold of Darryl at UR and see if they will replace it.

Maybe this will solve your low HP problem as well. But I would still look into getting a better exhaust manifold. That one from UR holds a lot of back pressure.

I don't know about UR anymore. Seems as if they just want your money and when it comes time to get help with a problem, they just try and throw BS at you or blow you off.

that could be it...it seems to be ok, but maybe it's wearing. maybe it's slipping at high power.

I will look into that after the BOV.

For the record on UR...I think Darryl is very helpful. he's not always availble, and I guess I just assume he's working on something. WHen he is there, he's been very accomodating to me.

Well, nothing new to report. The tuner, another tuner, shop guys...all stumped. Tuner said he would get a hold of the AEM EMS and give that a try on the car to try to rule out if it's the management system.

:/

Darryl just contacted me letting me know he thinks he can fix my problem. So, i just need to send my sandwich plate back to him for him to modify it and solve my problem. So...that's the next step. Hope it works, he sounds confident it will.
