Default Going FI with over 100k?

Well, there is a chance that I might be able to get a SC or Turbo kit for MY01 in the near future. She has 115k miles on her, mostly highway miles and runs just as strong as the rest of them. I raced another s2ki member here who owns a MY02 with 50k miles on it... we were dead even from low to mid range and I was slightly quicker on the top end, maybe due to test pipe. No major issues have came up and she seems to be fine. Still has the stock clutch and the original differential etc etc. Which brings me to this question... I know it has alot of miles on it but what concerns should I have, I know the engine, drivetrain etc etc are among the obvious. I am sure there are some preliminary things I should do before strapping a SC or turbo on her with as many miles that are on it. Im also finally buying a beater so I can keep the s2k off the highway and use only for play

Compression / leakdown test to gauge the health of your engine. If its to spec, then its healthy-- if it isn't, adding forced induction may seriously enhance any small problems you may have. And adding FI on your 115,000 mile old clutch might kill it relatively quickly, so set aside money for that.

I'd suggest new rings and head gasket, do compression test and you WILL need a new clutch very soon after Your clutch will be slipping like it's on ice skates

Ive boosted several of Honda's motors with 150k+ miles, all have been very successful for another 50k miles.
Just make sure its in healthy shape beforehand and get the clutch done; ACT pressure plate, stock disk will work wonders.

My boosted S just crossed the 100K mile mark...

after running good for a while I had some valvetrain problems that are being addressed now

its looking like either tensioner or valves/retainers

im not sure if this is typical for a boosted S....I did not over-rev the car (I've got a soft-touch limiter on my EMS set at 8200RPM right now because my stock injectors are maxed out)

I'm not sure if this is typical or unique to my car
