That's what I'm worry about. I don't want to take out any stiffness on my S. I want to keep it stiff.

and the basemap is tuned for a stock cat w/ 80mm catback. running on a stock cat and stock catback will be fine.

Is the pretuned map tuned for stock cat and stock exhaust? Is it safe to keep it like that without tuning say like for a year. The reason I asked is because I want to tune it all at once after high flow cat, exhaust and boost controller. And I wouldn't have buget to get all these after buying a turbo kit.
I added water/meth injection a couple weeks ago, which gave me another 4 degrees timing & trimmed injectors due to meth enriching the charge. Runs like a raped ape now . . .
*your results may vary*

^ you can always put a blocking plate on the flange when you go in for smog
But seriously tho, what is their problem about releasing the same air the charge pipe took in?

Its stupid but its techinally the law and you will fail for it if caught.
^ Nice Ride. I was gonna go spoon front bumper and brakes but decided to go the sleeper route.
S2k RN, I did get the fuel pump installed yesterday. The fuel pump is an interesting thing. When it primes the fuel lines its effin loud. Also, when driving around it sounds ... well best way to put it is imagine your in your home with all the windows closed and you have a gardener using a leaf blower 3-4 houses down... thats the sound, its faint but still noticeable.
I haven't really pushed it hard since I'm waiting for the BOV which I should have installed tomorrow. When that happens I should have better thoughts of the kit.

Richard, nice to finally meet you today!
Let me comment on the BOV necessity on this kit, since i know a lot of people will read this thread and will wonder about it. Most people will say that w/o a bov, the compressor surge will cause the turbine to spin backwards, damaging the bearings. This might have some truth w/ ball bearing turbos since they spin so freely (but i'm no expert at ball bearing turbos), but with the sleeve type bearings used in the greddy turbos, i assure you that your bearings and turbo will be fine w/o a bov. (To keep your bearings and turbo in good shape, change oil regularly, and ONLY use FULLY synthetic oil!!!!!)
In general, bov's are used for vehicles with MAF (mass airflow) sensors, in which, the air that reverses direction once the throttle closes would screw up MAF readings and throw the A/F off. So the air would be released through the bov before it hits the MAF. Our cars have MAP sensors so they aren't affected by the airflow like this.
Just so everyone has an idea, Greddy has NEVER tuned any of their project cars w/ a BOV (that didn't have a stock one already). All of the project cars still do not have bov's (again, that didn't have a stock one already), and the turbos are fine. I have coworkers that run bov-less on their cars for 10+ years and the turbos haven't had to be rebuilt.
Anyway, thats a little tid-bit on bov's on the greddy s2k turbo kit. You, and anyone, can run the hard out of the box w/o a bov, and it'll be perfectly fine.
