The only selling point of this kit CURRENTLY is that you can get it for just over 4K and it's brand new. You can get used kits for that much or less, or other kits for that much but have to pay for injectors/management.

These are brand new parts with everything you need for just over 4K. Other than that, it seems pretty weak.

If you're happy though, congrats to you Hopefully they'll go for the carb cert.

We all know that the power drops off at 8500 anyway. Look at almost any dyno plot.
you said it.

and why are you bringing up 5252? what does that have to do with your argument of power almost always dropping off at 8500 RPM?

fperra posted his Dyno and your calling BS because he is running a gt35r, most turbo members of s2ki are running GT30 or bigger.

I simply asked the OP why he didn't rev it out to 9k, like is normally done on an ap1..... perhaps the power would have dropped off... I'm not arguing that.

Again it was a dyno day and I did not personally dyno my car. I would have liked to see it at 9k. i'm sure it would have made a few more hp. But its not like it would have changed anything. I think a more dramatic increase would be to remove the cat and run a test pipe.

Looking at the dyno curve's gradient again, I doubt that the hp curve will drop off much (if at all). It is still climbing!!! Even if it does I wouldn't bag this kit.

Greddy produced some awesome turbo kits for other cars in the past. Their turbo are extremely reliable. It is great that they released this kit for our s2k. I also think what they pieced together is right for our weak gearbox, diff and axle. They could have easily used some larger turbo for the same price or a couple of hundreds $ more. I am sure this kit was intended to produce awesome midrange V8 like response. Bigger turbo for top rpm are known for destroying drive train .....when used properly

To give you a comparison;
My GTR has 2.6L inline 6 with 2x T518Z. Each turbo is driven by 3 cylinders and 1.3L. I get boost at around 3krpm and full boost at 5krpm (completely different diff and box ratio). The car just smoke 4 tyres on 9krpm launch and does 0-60mph in less than 3 sec with poor grip

Whereas the f20c has 2L driving this turbo and the gearing in the s2k is a lot shorter!!! You guys should give this car a drive before giving it a :thumbdown:. This kit should be a lot faster than most SC out there

Drive the car with the kit, THEN make comments on how good or bad it is.
