Question: Can the greddy air filter (big blue thingy) be repalced with... say an AEM dry flow filter or a K&N air filter? The reason I ask, the induction noise is very loud, and I'd like to quiet it up a bit. IF I can put another filter on, what size do I need?

Thanks

^ I replaced my filter with a KN... I'll get you the part number later today. Its avail at your local autozone/pepboys

However, I think it only reduced the induction noise by maybe 5-10%. I replaced the filter because I dont trust the porous design of the Airnix filter

Ya, ive heard that Airnix filter has plastic parts inside and if one were to snap it would go straight into the turbo...

O well, thanks, when I get the part #, i'll go pick one up. What did you spend on the new filter?

The chrome casing is plastic, the airinx flows very well, but doesn't filter very well!

2.5"

This is what I have, and it fits like a glove.

Just finished installing my kit last night and drove it to work this morning. It was a week long affair since I took the time to polish out all of my piping and get my blow off valve welded on etc.

I'm having a problem right now though. Car feel good down low but around 5K falls strait on it face. Gapped my plugs down to .034 but it still seems about the same. I dont have any check engine light. As I pulled into work the car stalled and I was able to re start it but it didnt want to idle. LOL I got to pop the hood and check the vacuum lines first off. Any thoughts what this may be?

Do you have a wideband AF gauge or have you had it checked on a dyno? Sounds like it could be fuel problems or a bad Greddy eManage Harness.

Just checked and the vacuum line for the MAP had came off. That is probably why it was stalling.

I got a wideband in th box in my garage, but no bung to screw the O2 into. I'm going to get an exhaust and then throw it on the dyno and get it checked out. Right now im running stock exhaust minus the silencer with the stock cat.

I sure hope the ultimate is fine...
