It almost feels as if the map can see the boost... Any boost level seen and it just drops bad in power.

I'm going to reset the ECU and check plugs and connections along with the map whack for good measure.

Hopefully the new AFr gauge will be here today so I can get it installed.

Exactly.. Its been a lot hotter this week and all of a sudden things have been going haywire. The cool morning act up bothers me also though.

don't know if you remember but was it also very hot the day prior to the cold morning?

also some use the greddy pressure sensor instead of the stock map because its more precise? not sure if this is related
Well went out and did a few things here at work right now at lunch.
Checked the harness for the Ultimate to make sure it was plugged in. One of the plugs clicked but didnt seem to push in more? Then I did a map whack, put a zip tie on the may to hold the plug better and reset the ECU.

Took it for a quick spin down the street and all was completely fine!! (where as before I did this (20 minutes ago) anytime I went to boost it fell on its face.

hmm might have been a loose connection then since you heard it click;

you didn't answer my question if you had a AFR gauge? make sure you take it easy since you just reset the ECU..

I dont have an AFR gauge installed right now. I have one at home and a new one that should be at my door any day though. Waiting for that then im installing the tru boost, high flow cat and the AEM wideband then off to the tuner.

Alright, so I've dynoed my car today and was a bit dissapointed.

230HP/127.5 Torque

My friend has a 04 AP2 and he dynoed at 277HP/178.5 Torque

No tuning was involved. We just wanted to see where we were at.

Green line= AP2
Pink= Me

Wheel Torque and Power

Wheel Torque and Air/Fuel Ratio

PSI

The car does fine until it hits Vtec. It just drops out dramatically. I know there is a Vtec dip but I didn't think it would be this bad. The AP2 had the dip as well but not as much as me.

I was told it could possible be a bad ECU and may have to be remapped by Greddy? My dyno tech told me possibly my Vtec isn't engaging..?

I remember someone dynoed around the same numbers as I did. Can anyone else chime in?

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

Oh and I'm pretty much stock. I have an OEM mid pipe with a Buddy Club exhaust.

The AP2 had a dual exhaust. That's it.

I plan to get the Greddy 70mm exhaust with the boost controller then tune the car. But if my current set up is a problem, I want to take care of this first.

1. VTEC is working

2. your stock-ish exhaust system is what is choking up the car.

throw the 70mm on there and you'll notice a huge difference.
