S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Has anybody else had problems with Haltech Platinum Pro?

I have buy this last year. And it seems to work great with my NA setup. But going FI soon. And i need to know if i could trust in this ECU. HALTECH is a very reputable brand.
I dont understand why the pro plugin only fail in S2k. And not in other car model.
Internal electronic is the same for all unit, no?

Okay guys, I got this reply from Dave on a facebook message I sent. Still nothing from Matt though...

"Shane,

there are a few cars that have had different filtering being tried. there are about 3 cars out of Hundreds that have reported issues, and the rest are all working very well.
we have not have not had any feedback on any of the new filtered units so i cant really give you an answer yet.

I would suggest installing it in the car and seeing if you actually have an issue. We will have to see if there is any problems and we will address them if there are."

As it is, Im just going to go ahead and install mine. I should have it done within the next 3-4 weeks. I guess if I'm having problems, I will get back with them again to see what we can do.

I got my ECM a while back and tossed it in while NA. I took it for a good rip on the base map and didn't have any issues either.

Sounds like it may possibly be a manufacturing issue? Or some sort of interference specific to a vehicle.

I will let you guys know how the tuning goes sometime late March/early April.

It's quite intermittent, I can go days without it happening, and then it'll happen back to back. Really wish there was something concrete here.

yea dude, honestly , the more and more I think about it, the more it makes me cringe just thinking about the possible damage that this could cause.

Then where will Haltech be? I really really like this ecu and want to keep it over an AEM unit, but the fact that they have admitted to the trouble, and we haven't really gotten much out of them kinda rubs me the wrong way.

illest, maybe the reason they havent had any feedback on the newest filtered units is because they are working Would be nice to know, but getting info from them is time consuming and difficult at best. Maybe we will get lucky in the near future!

Is the "filtering" a hardware or software modification?

I will be close to 450whp and I don't want hickups at high rpm that could break external parts.

I believe its hardware. Could be that something in the car causes some kind of occasional interference and thats why its so random. I'm probably 2-3 weeks out of installing and tuning mine. If I end up having the same misfire issue, Ill probably start contacting them more often about a resolution.
