S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Has anybody else had problems with Haltech Platinum Pro?

Update:

Haltech flew out to Orlando and they got a chance to put my car on the dyno. now on my ecu it would happen (violently) 3-4 times out of 10. so of course first run... boom, it happened. 10 more runs, nothing. put in Matt's ecu that has the ability to capture whats going on, nothing.

its weird because on the run that it did it, the ecu shows that nothing went wrong. it doesn't know its happening. so with Matt's special computer hooked up (same EXACT tune as the one on mine) we took it to the street to see if maybe having load on it would make it happen (dynojet) dyno. Out of 10-15 or more 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gear pulls it never happened. hell in fact my car ran better than it ever has before.

After we went to dinner we tried again, nothing. They took what information that got from my car and are looking into it. Though the issue has not been resolved (with my ecu in again its doing it still 3-4 times out of 10) the Haltech crew has been nothing short of amazing. They are polite, genuine, smart guys who are really trying to figure this out.

I will keep everyone posted as I have something in the works right now with Haltech. I'll keep my fingers crossed and let you all know soon. And hopefully with good news.

Thanks for the update man. Not a shot in the dark that AEM would ever come close to this level of support.

I am going to contact Matt directly, as waiting on an update in this thread probably isn't the best representation of the work they are doing to resolve this, as your post above detailed!

Their customer support is incredible. so for anyone having this issue just keep in touch with Matt and any datalogging or information you can send him will get us all closer to resolving this.

It's just weird because I even have multiple datalogs with the misfire occurring and the ecu has no idea it happens
I'm just hoping to solve this before the blower goes in

Completely different kit...you should give it a go!!
So the platinum 1000's are not having issues? Because I swore I was reading later on in this thread some people with the 1000's were having the same issue. Either way Haltech does seem to be doing a good amount to try to resolve the problem.

Isolated to the platinum plug and play only.

I talked with Matt directly. He was incredibly helpful, and will be keeping me up to date with his progress. (the guy went out and bought an s2k to troubleshoot this for god sake!)

He stated they have sold well over 500 of these units, and as of today, I am only the 4th person that has emailed in about it.

You guys that are having the issue, let's all step up, be a bit proactive, and see if we can't come together to solve this as a community. I believe this is the best PnP solution for our cars by a long shot. The more data we can provide them, them better.

Knock on wood this has only ever kind of once happend to me up a hill full flight, at about 4-5K it back fired and couldn't see any obviouse reason for it
in the logs.

a quick question though, has this happend to anybody while the car wasn't WOT,
because of recent I have been avoiding WOT still taking it up to 6ish 7ish and not experiencing any back fires.

again knock on wood, Im a little nervous as I am about to get the whole motor rebuilt with higher compression and Cams soon
so it will spend a lot more time on the dyno and Ill see if it creeps up more.
