Has anybody else had problems with Haltech Platinum Pro?
Knock on wood this has only ever kind of once happend to me up a hill full flight, at about 4-5K it back fired and couldn't see any obviouse reason for it
in the logs.
a quick question though, has this happend to anybody while the car wasn't WOT,
because of recent I have been avoiding WOT still taking it up to 6ish 7ish and not experiencing any back fires.
again knock on wood, Im a little nervous as I am about to get the whole motor rebuilt with higher compression and Cams soon
so it will spend a lot more time on the dyno and Ill see if it creeps up more.
in the logs.

I saw this thread before buying mine also, if only 4 out of 500 have had this problem or at least been diligent enough to email datalogs than i think i can take the risk, everyone and thier brother has aem. imo the haltech pro pnp even with this issue is still a step above the aem
been so busy with work and gave my s2k to my dad for a couple months for him to enjoy it. so no update on my end. sorry guys. i gotta figure out something soon because all i have left to buy for my supercharger is my fuel pump and clutch!!!

I was almost set on the Haltech until I got to this thread.

The Haltech rep was touting how the softare was much easier to use than AEM. After downloading both, I didn't have to use any help guides with AEM. It was more in line with all the OEM ECU's I tune on other cars. I haven't found anything to put the Haltech above the AEM provided they can get you to the same end result.
Mines a little weird here. When it was first in, it happened a few times and I was downright pissed off, but I might have had it happen 2 or 3 times in the last 2 months. Ive relaxed about it I guess because I dont think it will cause any big issues. Guess I was just a little frustrated at the time...

my tuner here in cen-tex, who tunes on both aem and haltech fairly often said that the haltech is a much smoother program, no only to tune but has a smoother end result in terms of oem feel of the car. ie cold starts and part throttle and a few other areas.
