I wrapped the solenoid with heat tape. Not the most visually appealing solution, but it's functional. I deleted the wiring for the vtec oil pressure sensor and factory oil pressure sensor, so I didn't need to use my wrap.

Found a tapped timing chain cover/oil pan combo for a great deal (the car came with a pan that was tapped for oil temp/turbo return; wasn't happy with the length of my return line with this configuration). Painted/installed the new cover/pan this past weekend along with my new Fluidampr crank pulley:

The timing mark on the cover is painted silver (but is eclipsed by the pulley in the pics).

Nice! I will probably pick up one of those covers as well. I haven't decided where to put my return line yet.

Hey Kyle, new ride looks great. Those pipes vent thru the hood ? Awesome

I saw on another thread you were going to run the upgrade AEM2 to mix E85/93, have you gotten around to install yet ?
I was planning on running that too as E85 is limited where I live but want to max out my GTX30 and can't on 93/meth. I had a few questions for you since it looks like you already checked it out much more than me if you don't mind me asking:

1.) Do you tune it for E85 and then the EMS adjusts when you add in 93 ?
2.) Did you pay for the upgrade to AEM2 or was it free ?
3.) Have you run into any issues with tuning it on E85 vs 93 or was it pretty strsight forward ?

Thanks,
Lance

Thanks Lance. I'm currently running the latest firmware and have converted all of my calibrations from 01v24 to 02v2. The firmware update is free. If you're currently tuned on 93, you can open two calibrations and copy the 93 settings to the 'flex' sections; adding ~30% more to the fuel map (to give you a good starting point). The other settings will depend on how you're piping the output from your fuel content sensor. I'm still waiting on my sensor, but I have everything ready to go. I'm unable to answer your third question (because I'm still waiting on parts). Which injectors are you going to run? What base pressure? I'm at 63% duty cycle running the factory base pressure (~43psi) using ID-1k's. I don't imagine I'll be able to run much more than I currently am (15psi) on E85 without either upgrading the injectors or raising the base pressure.

Thanks for your reply Kyle, very informative.
Would greatly appreciate your updat when you do get your sensor and do the install. BTW, do you have to run a fuel return line to install the sensor ? Saw that mentioned in the other thread too.
I'm actually having my tuner install the system for me and they recmd the 2000 cc injector & E85 460 walbro pump. Not sure about the base pressure through.
Was targeting 600+ whp myself and tuner said should not be a problem on E85.....but I don't have the upgrade diff/8.8/tran so hoping I'm not going to cause myself more trouble !!

You're welcome. I'd recommend installing the content sensor in the return line; the diameter (in/out) is close to that of the factory feed, but I'm not sure how it would affect fuel flow. I'll be sure to update this thread when I install the fuel content sensor. I'm going to switch to a larger pump/2k injectors eventually. I plan on upgrading the trans first. I hope you don't break any driveline parts at that power level. Do you track the car at all? Boost by gear? fwiw, I'm running 15psi in every gear and haven't broken anything...yet lol

Thanks for advice, I'll def check w/ tuner if they are installing sensor in return line but they seem to be on their game so I'd be surprised if they didn't.
Thanks for updating your thread after install.
I don't track/strip the car at all, just weekend warrior for fun. I do have boost by gear now set at 7psi 1st, 12psi 2nd and tops 17psi 3-6, so far so good !! I rarely get on it much anyway in 1-2, mainly 3-5.
Thanks again !
