there is nothing like a boosted s2k, but it's a ton of money to do it the right way. I agree with others though, I kinda wish I could have two s's one na and one boosted

I knew I wanted FI all the way and SC rather than turbo for my driving style. My style helps slow down the wear and tear. And I have the HP when I want/need it in a pinch. If I did it differently, I wouldn't have stepped up my boost from 7 psi to 10 psi to current. Just do it in one step and save some $$$ from tuning and labor.

Everyone on here has good experience and advice. You won't go wrong!

i started with a greddy kit and spent around $5k after tuning and aem ems and small stuff. now i'm going mase and my total bill for every dollar is around $9k after new clutch and new small things.

this is an expensive hobby for damn sure.

sometimes i think i should have left my s2k NA and kept my sr20det 240sx to have a turbo toy to play with. instead i bought a 00 integra and made the s2k the weekend only turbo toy. it puts a huge smile on my face when i drive it

If I could do it over I would have gone suspension, wheels, tires and concentrated on track events. I love the power of my turbo S with over 400hp, but with wide body and all the custom crap I'm now just paranoid about everything. Where to drive, park, and plus I could never keep the temps down for a long track event, which blows. Oh well it's now being build for top speed, maybe it will be a pretty coffin for me

You know, I might suggest driving it for a while NA/unmodded so you can get a feel for what you'd like to change down the road. See what you like, see what you'd like more/less of, then search these boards like crazy to see what others have done to address the same issues.
This is good advice. When you have driven the car and can feel where its lacking, then you know you have earned the upgrades it appropriately deserves. If you just start throwing stuff at it with little sense of what your accomplishing without a reference point. it will likely bite you in the ass, in cost or an accident. The S2000 can be a scary handful in the wrong hands. Earn its respect and learn its weak points for yourself behind the wheel.

BTW, when its time you can pick up a used complete Comptech or Vortech SC kit used in our forum for $3000 average, and then plan on spending another $500-600 for Wideband/boost gauges and misc crap, colder plugs, fuel pump etc. If you keep your eyes peeled you can find a good SC and install it yourself for under $4k.

Its very good advice.. after boosting my car , MY01 is no longer a DD for the summer. It has now become a weekend car.

Bottom line if i red line 2 gears im way over any posted limit in my state..

I have driven a low boost 4-6 PSI ; i think is a pretty good DD..

Just my .02;

I started stock , then did air mods , tuning , then i wanted more then went FI; I would/should have gotten a SC first . I was not happy with what was avail and had driven at the time.. Im so glad i waited tho

i bought my car over three years ago, and i was boosted within a month of ownership. Its a disease that can only be cured by boost. Side effects include breaking down on the side of the road, bloody knuckles, restless nights on floor of the garage and spending lots of money. Don't do it if you can't see it through, its addicting.

I've had my car for six years...

First thing I did was rims, tires and suspension and drove it like that for two and a half years.
Then came a Comptech supercharger for a year.
Then it was a Greddy turbo kit.
Now I have moved to the Inline pro turbo kit.

It gets very expensive...
