If you are going to drive your car in a manner which is prone to breaking it, don't bitch and complain when things break. Does it surprise you that people have no sympathy for your issues?
i dint turbo my stuff to baby it around town and what not. i bought mine to race it. if your not not doing that then you have no idea how to critique someone that does when you are afraid to drive, launch, shift your car.
I know a lot of guys who race their cars. Drag racing, autocrossing, street racing, you name it. The don't leave trails of car parts behind them. There is a difference between a guy who drives his car hard and a guy who drives his car incorrectly. You sir, sound like the latter.

im not trying to be an ass to anyone, we all know the drivetrain in the car is weak. thats the only parts i have broken. I just asked a question and i get all this bullshit about driving and and stuff. no one even attempted to answer my question. if you donty know then dont answer. i would never tell you guys some dumbass assumption of what i though you were doing wrng. just wanted a little help
I've read all your threads I think the problem is with refining your shifting style and your driving skills ( no offense meant). An 8500 rpm launch with that kind of power is a bit overboard. You had to be spinning everywhere, that doesn't win races.
I think an auto would be right for you. If you're looking for a way to go, you'll find both a chevy small block and a powerglide will fit. We measured it.
Couple that to solid diff, buy some slicks, spray the shit out of it and have a really nice drag machine. I don't the supra swap is a good idea
Anyway have fun with your car, I do with mine and I'm not easy on it either.
When you increase percentagewise the hp of a car to that degree, any car, you increase the potential to bust something. That's why racing's expensive.

I do apologize if any of us came off as unkind, but when you break two transmissions within a few weeks of each other people start to wonder. To my limited knowledge I think there is an automatic S with a F20C or F22C (depending if it is an AP1 or AP2) in existence, I think it involved a lot of custom fabrication too. Again, I have a very limited knowledge when it comes to automatic transmissions in our car. Have you tried PPG? http://www.ppgearbox.com.au/index-html.htm
If you wanted a fast car that you can constantly beat the piss out of without the worry of breaking stuff perhaps you bought the wrong car?

im glad you feel i drive my car incorrectly, there are two ways to drive a car. Fast and Slow, you sir must drive you car the latter

Let's get this straight dude, i've got a stock s2000 and i've managed to damage the gearbox. Just because you've got more power and you're putting more strain on the gearbox, doesn't make the answers all the guys have put above null or invalid/void.
I damaged a gearbox and used it as a learning curve, not a spending curve. I realised that actually, the box on the s2000's a bloody well build piece of kit, it's beautifully put together and shifts as sweet as a nut, but there IS an art to it.
I agree with everyone else, you need to spend time learning to shift well, rather than shifting as hard/fast as you see in a film.
It's called mechanical sympathy.

the thing about building a race purpose car isnt really taking care of it and shifting it nice and neat like.
its about getting rid of the weak links so the driver can take advantage of every ounce of power the car has. the next weak link after the diff IS the transmission. clearly not made for 470whp. i have heard of the supra trans (with mod) bolting up to a f20 but never seen it or know how its done. i dont see how its not possible with the right fabrication. maybe you can fighure something out for us.
