S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

I think there's something wrong with my car...

Hmmm... sounds like it might be the clutch. When my clutch was slipping back when I was stock and would shift hard the RPM's would just shoot up and then when it grabbed they would come back down within a second. It sucks if its your clutch, but it could be worse... mine gave out on the dyno on the 2nd pull.

if the clutch was slipping engine rpm's should be shooting up and according to the post they are not. Sounds like it may be a driveability issue.
Thanks guys.

Well, I don't recall the RPM shooting up..it felt more stagnant as the car veered... It sorta felt like the car was skidding on rice before catching back into gear.

So, what does it mean if its a driveability issue? I hope its not worse than replacing the clutch.

I've been looking into getting a new clutch kit...expensive but I guess a necessary evil. I'm really new to the clutch realm and I've read thread after thread...

So, I need to get a new:

Flywheel? (I'm looking to Comptech)

and a Clutch kit? (ACT)

Do I need anything else?

What's the labor charge with something like this?

Sorry for all the questions...thank you!

Did you check to see if you left some rubber on the pavement? Maybe you were spinning your tires.

put your car in 6th gear at around 30-40 mph and mash the gas, if your rpms jump and your car doesnt accelerate it has to be your clutch

It's not the clutch if your RPMs didn't go up. I agree that you may have been on a slick spot or something. Try the method as mentioned in the post right above me to give us a better idea of the problem.

Thanks John Z- I did it on two separate occasions and the results were similar. I really hope that the tires were spinning...

Carbon Blue- tomorrow, I'll put the car in 6th @ 30-40mph and step on the gas (Is that what you mean by "mash the gas"?) and will let you know what happens.

Thanks guys.
