I'm getting blown - what hp #'s should I expect?
After researching this forum, I have decided on the Comptech w/aftercooler. Thanks much in advance to those who provided quite useful install tips/tricks - more than paid for the S2KI membership.
On an AP1, what is considered 'typical' peak rwhp with the install (stock pulley/boost)? I've seen the curves on Comptech's site (and found a couple which didn't quite agree with each other).
Is there anything which a knowledgable tuner, familiar with this setup, can do (with minimal investment) to generate an additional 20hp? Was thinking of one-stop shopping for a tune/dyno.

Call Comptech, and order a 7lbs pulley and belt. Have it installed with the kit initially. With adjustment of the FMU(get it Dyno'd!), you should see over 300 (310ish?) at the rear wheels. This should only set you back about 140ish for the Comptech parts, as it's the same labor your tuner should charge you for the initial setup.
I'm getting blown right now!
Sorry kleecker, I have been looking at this for a while now and I just had to say that. I think 290whp is about normal. The cool thing about going with the supercharger is that once you have paid for the intial cost you can add on more power as you want it or as you get the money for it.

After getting blown, I would anticipate loss of significant energy and power, leaving you with minimal horsepower. But as others have pointed out, it's definitely worthwhile, and easily addicting. Expect to also experience a lag between spool-up cycles.
sorry, i had to, as childish as it may be. The name of the thread is "I'm getting blown..." for crying out loud!
