Thanks Paul.
I'm waiting to hear back from SP Engineering, as they are going to be fabricating my downpipe/cutout to my stock exhaust.

After that I'll be in to see Bisi and get a tune and that would be cool if you could make it down. I still got to call Bisi but I didn't want to do that until I had the exhaust at least scheduled first.

Thanks Joey, yours will be done soon too. I've been working on this for about a year now and I drove for a few months with my 2mm gasket. Patience is key with these kinds of projects.
SP cutout FTW! take pics!

Expensive piece but looks like it will be bulletproof.

Just wanted to post a few pics of my completely new stainless down pipe with cutout installed. Only ugly part of this was the y pipe and that is because I supplied it and they didn't re fabricate it.

Here the fabricator cut off that bubble gum weld and 2.5 to 3 inch transition and ground the flange and fitted the correct 3 inch pipe to the flange.

Here is my new pipe tacked up next to my stock inline pipe and temporary "rig"

And here is the new pipe in the car before final welding. They are also adding in the o2 bung as the inline one was smashing the O2 against the transmission.

I'm thinking of putting an aluminum shield over the trans/drive shaft transition to keep heat off of it or just adding a pipe after the cutout to divert gasses strait back. That will be another day though.

Well got to walk to the shop to see if its complete. I'm extremely happy with the work done (work done by SP Engineering in the City of Industry). Major props to these guys. They said it was their first S2000 that they have done this type of work on. (They mostly do Lambos, Ferrari, GTR's etc...)

Beautiful! it's connected to the OEM catback right? That's very sleeper! My kind of ride.

SP Engineering is different from Sound Performance? do you have a link?

The aluminum shield sounds like a good idea, maybe I can do something like that to deaden some of the sound and rumble. When it opens, the car lets out a angry roar, you'll see

Out of boost it purrs like

Is there an appointment with Bisi yet?

Looking forward to hearing your impressions!

Hey man come through to our IE, TD, SFV meet on the 28th! (THIS THURSDAY)

Yep that's the stock exhaust and it's silent! The guys at SP loved it too.

This is the shop that did the work http://www.sp-power.com/
the other SP that I got the cutout from (Sound performance) is somewhere in the Midwest or back east.

I still got to do a bunch of wiring including some added sensors and also got to redo my stock coilpack harness for my new coil setup. Then a few more loose ends to take care of after that.

I got to setup with bisi still, just wanted to take care of the big things like this down pipe first.

Where is that meet at? I've only been driving to work and back on this base tune. I got to get this car finished and tuned, I can't wait to hear this thing in VTEC an high psi.

First word....VIDEOS! (of the car )

Looks like SP Eng is pretty high end! Looks like they know what they're doing.

The meet is in our neck of the woods. IE and Topdown are doing a caravan.

the address in on the link I posted.
Their caravan is here

i heard that Bisi is out of town until Feb 2nd. But I'm sure that "April" is there still to set up appointments.

Anyways you have until Thursday morning to get your wiring done
Thanks for the info Paul.

I don't have a video camera to take video...
Still got to fix more bugs in the car. My timing chain tensioner is leaking oil out of the seals so I got to pull that again. By the way I have your worm gear finished, but I just haven't sent it out. Its been wild for me the last month!

Sleeper is the best IMO. Especially here in California where I live.
