Decided to get a Laskey built bottom end this week... The adventure continues it seems...
Now I'm thinking of maybe changing my kit to the new Ptuning kit with 6262 or maybe a Mase kit.. I want 500 plus on 91 pump!

I have been having a sound (womp womp womp) coming from the rear end area lately... I'm thinking it may be the diff although it may also be a rear hub bearing. I notice it at 65 mph and it gets faster the faster I get from there. I have also noticed that when the car is cold it isn't noticeable but if I have been driving the car for a while that its a lot more audible... Thoughts??

The inline kits is good for 500+, I am personally OK with stopping right around there. You just may need a bigger turbo than the 5965b but with meth you should be able to make it.

We have 93 in Maryland, is it that big of a differnce between 91 and 93? I am gonna run mine on the dynojet at inline soon to see what I put down.

It could also be a bad tire. I've had this sound before on another car of mine and got new tires and it went away. Can you determine if its coming from the drivers or passenger side? If you have a buddy with an S, try swapping out your rims for his to do a little driving around and see if the noise goes away. If it does, its the tires, if it doesnt, it could be a wheel bearing or something.

I am going to try swapping my tires back to my oem set and see if I can hear the noise still. I did just get a new set of tires installed (Dunlop Direzza star spec) and a new alignment and corner balance on the car.

I noticed the noise more after all of this...
Could this be caused by possibly a bad tire balance also?
Also i cant tell if its coming from one side or the other, I just hear it from the rear area..

I dont know if the balancing of the tires would cause this or not. In my case, it was a bad alignment and when I had it realigned the noise started. It was due to the bad alignment wearing the tires and once the alignment was corrected, the tires had so much bad wear that it caused the noises. I think they also had a few broken belts inside the tires that caused it too from the bad alignment. I just got new tires and it was solved. Hopefully you just have a bad alignment or bad tires with a broken belt or something causing this.

Well I just had the car aligned when I had the new tires put on (both two or three weeks ago and 500 or so miles).

I swapped my rear rims/tires back to my AP1's I had in the garage collecting dust and so far I have NOT been able to hear the same audible noise as I was getting. So now I have to either try and get the tires re balanced and see if that helps or give tirerack a call and see what they can do for me.

The tires are barely broken in, they are brand spanking new with maybe 500-600 miles on them.. I noticed the noise a few days after I had them installed.

My previous tires were Falken 615's but they were bald and noisy when I took them off the car but I didn't have this "womp womp womp" sound with them. I also had a bad alignment then but that was taken care of after the new tires were installed..
