i relocated my battery to the cross-brace and just bent my a/c lines out of the way. I didnt need to relocate them. I turned my fuse box sideways and cut the heater core bracket and re-welded it so it was parallel with the firewall. I also built a heat shield to cover the wiring from the radiative heat of the manifold. You also need to cover your windshield washer sprayer and lines with heat resistant tape or they will melt. It would also behoove you to remove the hood insulation, or it will start to melt and burn.

EDIT: I was able to reuse my DP from an Ultimate Racing log to full-race. It did however, sit a little lower than it used to, so you might need to recut it and raise it up about an inch.
After doing more research last night and this morning, it seems that that full race is going to be a lot of work and there will be (as many have said) a lot of heat related issues to control.. My main reasons I was thinking full race was that I could keep my current downpipe and turbo..

Maybe I should just go the other route which would the ILP tubular, mated to a 35R with a T4 .83 vband hotside.. I know I can get good results out of this manifold also and I wont have to worry as much about heat, relocating things etc. as i will be able to wrap the manifold and downpipe well etc..

good info, do have a picture of the re-welded heater bracket?

I do like Mases kit but the 2.5 inch downpipe kills it for me and my exhaust setup that i want to run..
I run 3" downpipe with 3" cutout to my stock exhaust.. A 2.5 inch cutout will simply not flow enough to get me where I want to be. Inline's manifold also has a nicer collector and 3" downpipe..

Scott has that kit anyway, I dont want to copy him any more..

Hey it's only money right?
What is the size of the inline pro DP, is it 2.5 or 3" or did you have a custome one made? Also are you considering doing the cold side as well or just leaving it alone.

Well instead of an open deck with coolant in contact with the bottom of the head gasket, you now have that same coolant sitting against the iron deck of the sleeve.

Coolant/.038 head gasket/aluminum head
vs
Coolant/iron closed deck/head gasket/aluminum head

It's not necessarily the flow through of the coolant IMO..

I know Science of Speed sells three different types of sleeved blocks (Two open deck types and the closed deck) and they ONLY recommend the closed deck sleeving for drag race purposes.
Heres the quote from their site on the closed deck AEBS sleeve (Same sleeve Inline uses): "closed deck design - closed deck with water passage holes drilled - recommended for drag racing only where engine will not experience cyclic temperatures due to street or road course use".

http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/eng...rvices/sleeves/
Thats pretty interesting and I didnt realize that.

Inline comes with a 3" downpipe.. I had a custome downpipe made forthe car with a SP boost activated cutout. It was mucho expensive but worth it IMO.

Heres a pic of it:

I intend to leave the cold side alone, besides adding a blow off valve to the intake side.
