First, wow that pan looks sweet, I am sending you all my parts to clean from now on.

Secondly, I know you want the car to make more power but stealing parts from your dad. No wonder you are having trouble with the install, I know I should of flown out and helped.
LOL, yeah my old mans build is next after my car is finished..

You should have came down Scott, we could have made a holiday of it.
Thanks again for everything you have done and helped with.

Everything is complete except for the header, fluids and the lines for my oil filter relocation which I still have to put together..
Tomorrow the car should be running but I still got to retorque the head bolts..

Update:

car is back together and I was able to bleed the cooling system and heat cycle the motor for a while. I'm going to cycle it again tomorrow and then pull all the valvetrain to retorque the head again.
No leaks, and everything went well for the first fire up of the engine!!

Still got to do the final torque and redo the valve job tonight... Here's a pic of the car back together after I fired it up last night. I still got to clean up the engine bay a little, change out those ugly blue vacuum lines and put my powder coated valve cover back on.
Oh and I cant forget the Inline kit that still has to go on.

I think you are missing something on the end of the throttle body?

Are you sure you put enough KW on it or was it too much?

What about the retorque are you 100% you did it right?

Those scratchs in the cylinder look pretty bad too, you may want to do something about that?

Did you put that head gasket on the right way, it look like it is upside down?

Thanks Jay, Paul, Luis for all the kind words.

I really hope this works, I don't want to have to go through all of this for a while..
I really got to start looking now for a short block to build for the future.

Yes I am missing my intake pipe... I had to stick a K&N on there cause the stock intake box will not go in due to the oil filter relocation lines..

Dont even bring up the KW copper spray.. I hate that stuff! I've worried myself to death wondering if it was enough or put on even enough.

As far as re torquing goes, that was a whole new experience... I searched to death, but nobody really re torques the stock bolts on our engine (which definitely needs to be after heat cycling with this gasket). It took 80-85 ft/lbs to break each bolt after heat cycling, which came out to around a 90
