hi guys --

We offer the pistons in both the factory size (87mm) and .25mm over bore (87.25). 87.25mm would be used when the bore needs to be honed due to scratches. We recommend that most used blocks use the 87.25mm size unless either the block is new, has no scratches, and the bore is in perfect circle.

They are offered in 8.9:1 and 9.5:1 static compression. We try to keep the 9.5:1 static compression model in stock.

Your site says 2.0L only?

Is this an oem like piston, or is it forged like CP?

The pistons are forged pistons (like the stock pistons). The difference compared to other piston manufacture's forged pistons is a proprietary skirt coating that allows the pistons to be compatible with the factory FRM cylinder liners.

Sorry, I can see how this would be confusing. The pistons work in either F20 2.0L and F22 2.2L engines. The static compression ratio of a piston used in a F22 would be about .6 CR higher than in a F20. We're going to change how these are listed on our website to make more sense.

Here is what is offered:

standard bore size (87mm)
enpp-2031: F20 8.9:1 CR or F22 9.5:1CR
enpp-2033: F20 9.5:1 CR or F22 10.1:1 CR

.25mm over bore size (87.25mm)
enpp-2032: F20 8.9:1 CR or F22 9.5:1CR
enpp-2034: F20 9.5:1 CR or F22 10.1:1 CR

Hope this makes sense.

take care,
-- Chris

Appreciate that, thanks.

Has anyone actually used these? I've known of other manufactuers to use coatings on the skirts, but I've seen it wear off very quickly...who is to say these won't?
