the mahle coating is different than just your standard moly skirt coating.

My motor has a little over 1500 miles on it now, its doesnt smoke or burn a drop of oil.

They have been in use in H22's for quite some time with no frm related issues.

wadzii is the only one i know of with a running F series with mahle forged pistons (although i know they just came out, i also know he helped produce them). when i posted my thread a while back only one other person responded who had experience with a running motor, and that was someone running the inline pro pistons.

i will be going this route, and probably sending my block off to SOS, but i would be more confident seeing a running motor with some decent milage on it!

Does anybody knows if Mahle makes a low compression height (26.7 mm) low compression (-8cc) FRM friendly piston?
A Mahle link would be appreciated, thanks.
Cheers

They dont, but for a turbo car a shorter rod is probably better than a longer rod, and it honestly doesn't make "that" much difference.

You could get the short ch pistons and mill the domes off. that would get you around 10.5:1

Also, my machine shop is probably cheaper than anyone else, so if need be I can get whatever machine work you need, turn around is about a week. I'm not making any $ on this, just offering help. I have alot of work/time into getting these to market and want to see some other people running them.

You did a lot of work/time into the product, but aren't seeing any $$ from that effort?

I dont have $5g to do a buy in and become a distributor. I got a good deal on mine, but that was a one time thing until I actually become a distributor
