They dont, but for a turbo car a shorter rod is probably better than a longer rod, and it honestly doesn't make "that" much difference.

You could get the short ch pistons and mill the domes off. that would get you around 10.5:1
It's for a non-boosted stroker, I want as long as I can get rod length.

Do you know the low compression height piston actual CH?
Milling the dome off is an option and could work, but I'm worried about the strength of the flat top, is there enough material thickness left?
P/N of that piston, can't find it...
Thanks for your help
Cheers

I have checked into this.. it was about a 1/2 consideration during design.

the dome can be milled flat and have plenty of room, with a 99mm k24 crank it would make for about 12:1 compression assuming you adjusted hg thickness to provide stock piston-head clearance.

Well, I hope you are as good as everyone says, I will be putting a set in shortly and I will definatly blame you if they don't work

We received a new batch of the Mahle pistons for the S2000. Here are photos of the actual S2000 design (below).

I also was asked by a customer about weights. A bare Honda piston that we had in stock is 356.4 grams while the Mahle piston of the same diameter is 303.6 g. This is not only from reduction in dome volume for decreased compression, but also from internal pocketing placed in the forging for weight reduction.

regards,
-- Chris
