it just seems so easy to do the leak test to not do it. Its $5 for a pcv cap from the plumbing department along with a tire valve. I was curious after i noticed the same brand sc kit making different power levels on the same s2000.

My first leak was a t bolt clamp that was tightened down.

And honestly, between the major sc kits, the vortech doesnt vibrate that much more. Even going from an old comptech design with no bushings to the newer design with them, the vibration was still there, but it was more mellow.

Hell, even the sos kit i have now i think its the worse out of them all and ive had it apart many times now. I think its just that im not used to it.

In order to fab something up, you would have to shave your mounts down to compensate for the space the bushings take up. This would be to keep everything in line with the crank pulley. I dont think its worth it.

Well you were right just did my smoke test and found 2 boost leaks with only a bump of air from the compressor. Gotta pull my bumper to get to the intercooler but I'm stoked. PVC cap was 3.89 at home depot and borrowed a buddies smoke machine (the smoke wizard.) The entire test took only 10 minutes total time. Guess I'll need to find some better couplings.

Are you guys reading your boost from the Gauges or datalogs that read from the map sensor? I ask because I have a AEM boost gauge that reads 11.5 psi while the datalogs only show 10 psi. Also remember that an Ap1 will make almost 2 more psi with that extra 800 rpm both using the same pulley.

I am reading boost by the map sensor with flash pro. I'm seeing 7.8 psi on the data-log and looks like about 9 on the boost gauge. I'm assuming the data-log is going to be the most accurate reading. That being said I am very new to data-logging and Flashpro so i'm learning as I go. Cant wait to see what happens after i get this thing sealed up.
