How tight is the drive belt against the pulley in terms of ft. lbs of torque used to tighten the belt?
I am not sure I understand the question. Its not a static tensioner.

The way I look at it, its like a tug of war between the crank and the SC ... all the accesories being in between.

If you get rid of the blower and A/C both...... you are left with this... obviously then you would need a turbo....

Off topic but we are trying to figure out a way to run the new hybrid civic A/C compressor that is NOT belt driven.... (i think its just electric/battery powered) That would be sick.

The Civic and Accord Hybrid compressors are still belt driven. They just use an electric motor built into the compressor to run the AC with the engine off. they also use special AC oil that doesn't interfere with the insulating needs of the high voltage DC motor built into the compressor.

The NGV Civic? Still belt driven AC compressor.

How much force does the tensioner apply? I'm not familiar with it but I'm assuming it's applying much more force than the OEM tensioner so you won't have belt slip at the SC.

KW has the equipment to make a new pulley. However after the bearing is next, then the tensioner, etc.

The stock pulley set up isn't designed for that extra load.
Your being too simple and logical

Someone just needs to design a separate drive belt setup off the crank for the Rotrex. Isn't that what all the other SC kits have?

The tensioner is located between the supercharger pulley and the crank pulley(very close).I don't believe it needs to exert more tension .The supercharger is located to the left of the crank ( passenger side) down low below the crank pulley.Very cool setup, keeps the weight down low and back in line with the engine for a lower center of gravity.I've noticed when I drove Comtech or Vortech cars that all that weight up top and so far forward made the front feel heavy and affected the handling. The KW car handles just like stock ,one of the things that attracted me to it.

As a previous comptech owner I'd say lay off the shrooms
