I feel like the OP is trying to focus on a topic that is much to broad. It will be easier for you to narrow your research strictly to forced inductions and fuel economy.

this is a great response it gives me cons that that people over look when reading about turbos but, im focusing more on the new cars that are coming out. you know the ones with small engines and a turbo to pick up the slack, very fuel efficiently made.

Also, keep in mind every diesel engine is turbo. All those big rigs, construction equipment, cargo ships, etc have turbo diesel engines and they rack up more miles than you can imagine. Reliability is key.
