If when you guys install the kit and hear compressor surge the problem is with the BOV. It comes with 2 springs pre-installed (1 with blue painting and one with pink painting). Open up the BOV using the supplied wrench and remove the blue spring leaving only the pink. The car will sound much better and the compressor surge will be eliminated.

That doesn't sound right. Looking at the turbosmart specs, it seems like the springs that came with the port are correct for the vacuum level I am seeing on my kit.

Agreed

You should not remove any of the springs in the BOV. We specifically had Turbosmart spec our BOV with the dual springs (blue and pink spring) since the s2k motor draws around 20-22in/hg vacuum at idle. If you are truely experiencing compressor surge (air backing up to the compressor wheel causing it to want to stall) due to the BOV not opening when TB is closed, then there is a chance that your vacuum line to the BOV is not connected to the proper vacuum source. We have had a few customers accidentally connect the vacuum line from the BOV to the WMI (water meth injection nozzle) port on the billet IAT sensor/vac block plate on the upper intercooler piping (near the throttle body). Please verify that your vacuum line is properly corrected to the correct vacuum source. Feel free to send us a picture of your BOV vaccum line connection for us to help you confirm the installation.

If you run the BOV with just the smaller inner spring (pink), you may experience the BOV fluttering when you're on and off the throttle.
