Default SC...will it fit?

In the process of purchasing a SC, and have a very important question. The SC is for an AP2 and I have an AP1. Will this fit? What modifcations need to take place if any? What concerns should I have, if any?? Please, I need info.

Happy Holidays. This is my Christmas gift...to me!!
Thanks!

There are a few minor differences.

The pulley for the AP2 is 4-1/2 inches and the AP1 is 5 inches. This will boost about 3 lbs more than you want so you should change it. There are lots of 5 inch pulleys around used. New they are only $100.

That was the easy part. The electronics are much different and I am not versed in the details.

What electronics are different? Would a stand alone EMS be able to take of this? Or just a new black box from Vortech?

I called Vortech and this is what is needed to make the AP2 kit work with an AP1:
Time control box either reprogrammed locally of purchased new from Vortech for $958.
Aftercooler discharge assembly changed for $500.
Pulley/belt changed (or kept if wanted extra boost) for around $200
A Calibration disc to change the ratio to 4:1 on the FMU??

Other than the pulley size change, the 04-05 kit uses an Aux injector mounted in the aftercooler, as well as a different timing/fuel controller.

If you get the 04-05 kit, you'll need a 5" pulley, and the timing control only box, intstead of timing and injector controller. Pick up a 10:1 kit for the FMU, and thats it.

You can get the timing box, FMU, as well as 5" pulley all used from those who upped the boost and switched to an EMS.
