I plan on doing that before I buy. Just wanted to get as much information possible before I call them. That way I will seem at least a little bit knowledgeable about their product before I talk to them.

I figured that it came with a different sized pulley for the ap1. The same way vortech does with their kit. Just wasn't sure if the blower was still overspun.

Thanks guys for all the info.

3.4 pulley (no crank pulley) is what I have w/ a upgraded heat exchanger (made a huge difference, as others have mentioned no heat soak now). No HG...stock compression. I've been tempted to go to a 3.0 since there are others running that on stock HG. I'm looking at doing more in the Spring (1200+built engine+above 15psi+etc.) if I can get SoS to respond to my emails...lol...I'll just have to call them.
Did you ask for the 3.4 pulley or is it standard with the Stage 2 kit ??..

Why dont you try the 3.2 pulley ??

if it means anything the SOS with 4 psi more and +50whp more put down a slower track time vs the KW kit on the same course, mods and conditions. hows that for effective power delivery?
Too much power for the track

i dont have any experience with SOS kit, but grandmasterkahn is correct, the kw kit is very efficient. i ran gmk a few times this past june and when we pulled over to chill, his fmic was ice cold.

a2w is good, but i think you can get better efficiency over a longer period of time outa a fmic. just my opinon.

if had to choose between the two, i would choose SOS only for the upgradeability and 1200 blower i bet that thing can hit 450dynojet. i just dont see that happeneing with the KW kit.

KW has proven to be a great kit, but yeah... just doesnt have the same appeal as a high boost standard centrifugal. 450 is a nice round number

So throwing upgradeability out the window it sounds like people would go with the KW kit. I've already done the horsepower race with my old supra. Thats why I don't care about having a lot of hp. Just something so that I can get out of my own way.

I would love to buy that kit. Although I don't think the banks would give me another loan this year. I just bought a new aquatrax and a slightly used pontoon boat.

Would I be smart to buy the Highboost kit and then upgrade my clutch once it finally burns out. Or will it be out the window right from the start. I rarly drive the car hard.

i would not rock a stock clutch on 8+psi. mine sucked NA. buy a clutch, swap it now, and break it in. then boost the car. swapping clutch after boost adds steps to install.

Do the clutch first, break it in, then boost that sucker.
