Hey guys I just got retuned recently and the car is now making 600 on 22lbs c16 .. I just noticed the car is now breaking up alot top end through 3rd & 4th gear ... I'm running bkr8eix .. I forgot what the tuner gapped them too , but the last time they were gapped when I was making 400 on pump gas

 

Gap them to 18 and if that doesn't help try 9 heat range.

welll it doesnt break up anymore

 

Heat range 8 for 400-650hp and heat range 9 for 650-800 is what I do.

 

8's here for 700whp.

Although I think thats on the edge, I started having break up issues above 650whp.

 

a little off topic but what is the part number for 9's?

Can someone explain to me what "break-up" means or feels like at high rpm. I'm wondering if I am experiencing this.

 

It's basically let's say when your on it and up in the rpm's the car basically stutters. You can feel it in the motor and pedal.
