I am currently running the comptech kit in my 01 s, but im selling and upgrading to a gt3082r, and was wondering which stage clutch would be the best option for me. I will be over 400 and tuneable to 500whp.. I want to stay streetable as this will be driven frequently, so stage 3 might become a pain in stop and go. PLus I dont wanna have to put ANOTHER rear end in my car. Any suggestions? I heard the Spec stage 2 organic face kit was a very good option, and I could grab one for around 5 550. Thanks.

I would personally go for stage 3, not the drag clutch though, there are some smooth engagement ones out there.

I personally prefer the ACT clutch, there hard to get used to but once you do there a dream.

 

You said about 500 whp. For that amount of power i don't think a full face disc will do the job. My suggestion would be, even though not street friendly, going with a ACT heavy duty pressure plate and a 6-puck sprung disc, which can hold up to about 490 torque.

You should try for both discs, full face and the 6 puck, with the new stuff that you are putting in, just to see which is not going to slip.

 

I am using a competition stage 3 right now. Is very easy and smooth engagement not to bad at all for stop and go. I drive with it daily.
