The Struggle is Real...Another KW Kit Issue
I am only stating the facts and experiences.. Mostly to warn other buyers .. Not to not buy but to look at this kit from all angles .. Don't just install and think it's all good .. As for the bolt backing out bill said he torqued it down perfect .. That I trust more than anything .. That's why I pay him ..
Cooling issues yea could happen to any kit .. But this kit everything is stacked together .. So by me posting this info hopefully no one will run into this problem again .. And main goal would to be to get them to put this info along with the kit ..
As for the bolt breaking .. If they know this .. Why not share the info? Post here .. Tell people to call .. It's their fault for waiting for this to happen to people . And post exactly why this is happening ... First we hear about this is from you habit.. Why?
Crank hitting is my day for not seeing that in instruction .. But also why make the crank pulley so thick? Just seems to be better to already provide a thinner pulley than have us shave our racks .. It is all about having a finished complete product .. Goes bak to testing .. Which they could have tested the hell out of this but in my situation I don't believe that ..
And I totally understand how you feel habit because you haven't had a problem thank god..
This point time will tell .. I'm doin everything possible to get this kit right!

This is the old condensor ..
I am hitting the track next week pray from me lol ..
Ps .. I definately appreciate the customer service over at kraftwerks .. They have been very fair .. I did have a lot of compounding problems and getting a broke blower right from box made me loose 450 from poconos .. But if I was in there position i don't think I would have sent a third blower over night with out checking the old ones..but I would have liked to get to the track .. But like I said after that they sent me more than needed to get the car bak up with out charge.. And refunded my overnight cause I missed track day any way..
I don't think any of this is my Fault. As consumer they should make me aware of all problems or potential problems .. That's like sending the kit with all the hardware mixed together in one box and then expect you to figure out where they go .. I just makes sense to me that they would have experienced some of these problems during testing

I'll be praying for your track day, believe me. I hope to find time to get back out next year, and am ready to start seeing some positive experiences! (I bet you are too)
And damn, that condenser is wasted. Looks like it blocked almost half of the airflow!
So is it safe to say if KW makes the pulley 1/4" narrower (which is entirely possible looking at it) and we loctite the vtec solenoid bolts and follow the revised assembly instructions from KW (yet to be shared details from KW), that would cure most of the problems with this kit?

The assembly issue regarding the broken pulley bolt above is something assembled by Rotrex in their factory, and is no longer a concern on new kits.
Yeah, but you can't shave the ear 1/4" whereas the pulley has a lot to be lost, maybe I'll have a machinist take a 1/4" off and then re-coat it. I go to the track so there is a lot of heavy braking, and I can't always worry about motor mounts as they start to age.
Again though, how do we know if we have a kit with the bolt not assembled correctly from Rotrex?
