Has anyone else done any further research/development for a more affordable swap?

Haven't heard anything about the Z33/350z swap that mazworks was working on... what ever happened to that? Abandoned? If so, why?

 

Scorpiomk and I were the only ones who purchased adapter plates for the z33. I never ended up completing the swap as I went with a v160. All that was needed to do was shorten the shifter, modify the driveshaft, make a rear mount and purchase the custom clutch from competition. The overall length of the z33 is still slightly longer than the f20/f22 tranny so some tunnel mods for the shifter hold would need to be done to fit.

 

Im surprised no one figured out a way for the Borg-Warner T-56 transmission to work

 

Rpm is a limiting issue from my research, needs faceplating to shift at 9000+ rpm.

Maybe you can provide insight on what all is needed to make it work on an S. I know king performance uses the gforce 4 speed, anyone use the 5-speed?
