I've got a 2.5 mile drive to work... It's hard to rack up the miles when you're already there by the time the car is warm! Haha.

As far as competitiveness I really lack any because my number one goal is to drive the car home at the end of the day. I have never spun mid corner because of vtec engagement or anything like that. I read about / talk to guys about how the car should handle in the corners and what to do and not to do. Also I try to really push the car in the flat autox portion of one of the tracks I go to in order to feel it out.
I am by no means a professional or a really good amateur driver. My skills are probably about average for the number of track days I have been to. With that said I am not stupid or crazy with the car either.
I am looking to liven the car up a bit/a lot and will have the funds to do it properly.
Thank you to the guys who have contributed their own experience no matter if it is a little bias. Oh and for the flamers cut it out we are all adults here even if forums bring out the immature dick in us sometimes
"Im not having my wife driving a sissy 4 cylinder with a sc that still nly puts down 230ft lbs. "
You are clearly mislead, 230ft lbs at 6000+rpm is a decent amount of power. You need to consider the cars gearing, if you're spending time below 5000rpm in an s2000 then you're doing it wrong. No, most SC's don't have beefy power curves, but they are very linear and predictable (this does make a difference on the track for me) and make gobs of hp up top.
