i think it's your solenoid too. although i only have experience with a greddy solenoid, mine never got very hot. i'd replace your vac lines (you never know if there is a pin sized hole in any of the lines) then if that doesn't fix it, replace the solenoid or borrow someone's working unit for troubleshooting.

sorry for the long wait to reply , but yea il be getting a new mac soon ,also will bad heat soak cause not to run full boost ? i notice my car jumps from 8 to 9 bars on the gauge , i think 8 bars is where it should , also the engine bay is a oven when you open the hood after a couple runs .

Hi guys been back to my tuner with a few changes, changed the intercooler for a much larger version and swaped some vac lines around, was hoping this had it sorted. Did a smoke test to check boost leeks, all was good so did a power run up 40bhp from last time with boost holding solid at 9 psi so now up to 240ish bhp. But now we can't get the vtec to kick in? Its been set at 7k on the e manage but at 7krpm nothing happens, oil levels are fine so I can't see why it wont be working as it did before I went turbo. Only thing I can think is that my oil pressure is to low or a blockage in the lines, if it was this would the stock ecu prevent vtec engageing or will the emanage take over and try make it work?

You need to test that the greddy emu is giving out the signal to the vetec solenoid mate could be your wiring.

They plugged some gadget and it measured a signal going to the vtec solinoid but nothing happened when it is meant to kick in, tunner said it could be a blockage in the gause filter in the vtec solinoid, un less the chap who had it before has done somthing crazy with the wire's for the gemu

can any one show me some pics or links of peoples intake setups ? i wanna do a different setup to see if i can get a lil more power out of this kit . was thinking of running 3inch intake piping. what you guys think ? also what size exhaust works best ? and can anyone post some dyno graphs of the pfab manifold actually gaining power over the greddy manifold?

Try not to spend too much money on the Greddy Kit. I don't think a bigger intake set up will give you any gains. Very minimal gains at best. Making a CAI style intake would probably help.

Im gonna play around with my greddy kit before I go bigger, I heard CAI style might lose power because of the extra piping. And I don't know if I'll ever go bigger, I think this kit is perfect for a daily driver, I don't wanna be relocating my battery n AC lines just yet, maybe I will when I get a new daily. So far im at 360whp with the greddy kit with stock.exhaust so there is still a lil more power to be made

If your at 360 I think you may have a record breaker on your hands. I remember reading a thread where the highest on the greddy was 330 using e86 gas or meth injection.

^^ Who knows what dyno he's using though. He could be on Church's dyno which reads flywheel hp while the others were reading Rear wheel power
