Well I have the greddy kit but no longer the turbo that comes with the kit. I am making around the same HP as most people with a well tuned kit and good supporting mods. Just over 300hp. I ran a 13.5-13.4 with real bad lauched due to wheel hop multiple times. I was traping 103-104mph. I am currently tring to figure out who to help with the wheel hop, I just bought AP2 V2 rims which are a bit larger than my Ap1 rims which I hope will help with traction. I beat a new GTO buy 1/2 car and lost to a shelby gt500 by 1/2 car. Destroyed an acura rsx and a turbo eclipse. The track I run at is not so hot, I am hoping to improve my times, this was my first time out with the turbo. I think I need some suspension upgrades.

i have been researching a lot about this kit and it seems awesome. i live in california and its great to see that its C.A.R.B legal. i was just wondering, does any one know if the new tuner kit for the s2000 is carb legal aswell? it comes with the T620Z turbo i believe i dont see why it wouldnt since its still internaly gated. does any one have any info on this? seems like a great upgrade.

heres the link
http://www.greddy.com/home/?id=278

I thought the new tuner kit features an external wastegate?

Chris do you know if there is a T620Z internally wastegated turbo available from Greddy. Might be another option to make more power and to keep everything Greddy. I was thinking of the T618z down the track, but the T620Z would be better if it exists.

Good going Revenge, cant wait to see your times when you get everything sorted. Im currently in the low 300s as well. Greddy are releasing a suspension kit Type R soon which Im keen on.

If its internal than its a TOTAL waste of time IMO.

i think i remember the turbo is supposed to be externally gated. i've never seen this turbo before though. And no, the tuner kit will not be carb legal.

i wonder if i can just buy parts and put on ... convert the internal ver to ext ver.. so i don't have to buy the whole kit again.

i think tommy was using the greddy oil cooler with the kit, he just put the sandwich adapter on top of the adapter that comes with the kit. I'm not 100% sure that's how he did it, but thats what i thought i remember.

you could also buy a special adapter with 4 fittings, this is what Trust did on their prototype for the ap1 (oil filter sits on the adapter, 2 lines go to the block, 2 go to the oil cooler). Greddy actually sells the 4 fitting adapter, it's kinda expensive, but it's a nice piece if you want to do it clean.

i'll try to dig up some pics of Trust's oil cooler setup with the turbo kit. it's pretty nice looking.

Here's the Trust prototype turbo kit for the Ap1. It uses a special 4 fitting oil adapter, (sorry i don't remember the part number), and the s2000 greddy oil cooler. I can't comment on the performance as i think this was just a mock up.
