All the bolts mentioned are okay. However, I did snap the vortech sc's (not the car's) idler pulley bolt within 4k miles of the install. I have about 36k miles on the sc.

I broke the idler pulley bolt and all 3 of solonoid bolts

Solonoid bolts ALMOST killed my engine due to oil leak.
Like I posted on other thread, these 4 bolts are extended bolts which recommand to upgrade to high strength steel bolts.

Here is pic of damage.

From looking at the responses in the poll EVERYBODY with a Vortech should check these bolts and consider changing them out.

I broke the same bolt as the one shown in the first picture. Found it when putting everything back together after having the block built...

It was a PITA......

I was able to pull the supercharger and access the broken bolt. The bolt was exposed at the end of the threaded boss. I just notched it with a dremmel and screwed it on through. Took about 10 minutes after moving the supercharger. I was lucky.

Where can I get ti or high tensile bolts? I want to change these for prevention, they are not broken yet.

Hey Sideways, can you tell me exactly which fasteners these are? Are they the taper socket head or which one? I've got this issue and am hoping to get it fixed ASAP.
