S2000 Forced Induction S2000 Turbocharging and S2000 supercharging, for that extra kick.

Why is it that my car failed on the dyno?

woah woah woah, another boosted s2k in Rochester and I don't know about it?

Emery @ STM does wonderful work with the DSM platform and is actually a good friend of mine. If you inquired about a tune for your s2k, being that they aren't familiar with them, and don't work on them everyday, he would be the first person to tell you to go elsewhere. He knows what he is comfortable working with, and what he is capable of tuning, and has no problem admitted that. Take the car somewhere like Evans that works on that very setup/car Day in and day out.

Might I make one suggestion. If you're not looking to go with Evans (which you should) Might I recommend Derek @ Innovative Motorworks in PA.

NOT to be confused with that crook in buffalo @ innovative tuning.

IMW isn't much further if you were already planning on heading to Albany. Take my advice as what you will, but I think you'd be a lot happier going down south vs out east.

Where is the boost cut on the AEM v2 set @?

I was looking through, and I don't see anything labeled boost cut. Got me thinking, and I wanted to double check mine.

guys. i just found out what he did

when i gave him my basemap it was for a stock s2000. he then (on his own) changed to the supercharger map with 750cc injectors. he changed the injectors in the wizard to id1000. he then changed the map sensor from the oem honda to the omni 4bar. if you do this you see that the timing tables get SUPER screwed up. he backed off the timing from THESE numbers and not the oem basemap nor the supercharged basemap.

this is COMPLETE negligence on his part. I was charged for this, and now out of a motor due to this.

edit: this is what i typed out on another forum. sorry if it sounds like i am being mean. but the attitude is directed towards them, not you guys i promise

I know for a fact this is what happened. If you want to question me, please feel free to download the software yourself and give it a try.

at the start of the dyno i gave john a map that was pulled from the ecu as a stock map on a stock unmodified s2000. prior to startup the injectors were changed to the ones i had which were ID1000's.

AT THIS POINT, I AM NOT IN CONTROL OF OPERATING THE VEHICLE OR LAPTOP.

I tell john that i am using a 4bar omni power map sensor.

*STOP RIGHT HERE*

I want you to download aemtuner. I want you to open a calibration. You can open a stock s2000 ap1 basemap. If it's not there (which it might not be , you can also open a supercharger ap1 map)

(ap1 supercharger timing table)

Now continuing with what happened....

in the setup wizard the map sensor is now changed to an omni power 4bar map sensor.

*i want you to look at the timing table carefully. now go to the setup wizard and scroll down to MAP and scroll from the oem honda sensor to the omni 4bar sensor. double click it , hit apply and X out of the box*

(supercharger timing table after 4bar map sensor adjustment)

now LOOK at how the timing values are DRASTICALLY changed in the timing table as well as the boost load column. Now i want you to open another calibration (double click AEMTuner from your desktop). open the s2000 supercharger basemap. LOOK at the timing values. Compare the 2 .

Now please look at this timing table pulled from my tune

if you notice the numbers are eerily similar to the timing levels after the map sensor input was changed.
they were not properly adjusted.

and to back up everything i have said:

and a nice little jab at illestrolla

It doesn't matter what map he started with PERIOD. If he knew what he was doing, he could tune from any map or at least see plain as day whats wrong about it for YOUR setup.

i know. he didnt know what he was doing. it is plain and simple. i am sick of being called a hackjob and a halfass car builder by people who don't even have a clue !! regardless if my wastegate line blew or if it was made out of 1/4" thick iron stock the car would have blown up !!
