I’ve seen a pair of tails for sale with the same problem on Craigslist here in the Bay, but that’s the only other occurrence I know of. I ordered mine off of eBay and you got yours off of amazon, so we might have gotten different versions (but I was under the assumption that these all come from the same manufacturer). I’d keep an eye on your warranty period and inspect your lights to make sure nothing is wrong. Good luck!

same thing happened to me on the driver side light.

so sad. I contacted the seller and they said they would contact the manufacturer. I purchased it 9 months ago so i think im screwed. Might need to just try to fix it myself. At least its just something cosmetic and not an actual issue with the lighting.

That is hugely disappointing. Really wish I could pick up a quality set of AP2 reps that don't require cutting.

Damn that sucks... I guess I should just expect mine to fail at some point...

You should just talk to them, and ask them when they will have a new batch.
I am still running their prototype set of Ap2's for years without a single problem.

Its just the ap1 version that this has affected. But if you communicate with them; im sure they will help you out.

Looks like mine too are another victim of the red reflectors popping off. Here's the driver's side that's about to come out. My AP1 rarely gets driven and is always garaged, so this is very disappointing.

For reference, here is the passenger side tail and it is still intact. I don't have confidence in these tail lights anymore and may just put my AP1 tails back on.

Sounds like, the way to go is OEM tail lights + LEDs from JS2k.com
