i think he's referring to only the mirror and the plastic surround that houses ONLY the mirror, not your entire side mirror housing.

Thanks for the DIY. I used the heat gun method. Took me about 1 min. to do each mirror so a total of 5 minutes to take them off, replace and put back on the car.

My OEM mirror is a heated mirror and has then heating element on the back of the OEM mirror.

Is there any way of putting the heating element on the back of the Spoon mirror?

i have RHD and passenger mirrors are already convex but drivers side mirror is flat and thicker... so when i installed convex mirror the plastic housing was too large in the corner. So i ordered LHD passenger side (drivers for RHD) OEM convex mirror for $22 and used that housing with the blue/convex glass.
Looks much better as it now matches on both sides...
