A dyno is a tool for tuning the car, it was not made to tell you all what parts to buy

Thats all I was trying to get accross. Dont worry I didn't FAIL . I trust the few tuners that have told me that dyno's do put SOME (not massive amounts but some) added wear on the car. I will continue to use Dyno's when I need to tune something (like they were intended for) as well as give people advice when they ask for it (if I feel I can help another member on the board out).

FYI this thread wont stop people from talking out of their ass so IMHO this thread FAILS
to preface... read the whole thread before replying.

i did _not_ make this thread. my post was pruned from another thread of @nthony's and made into its own thread for whatever reason.

your standard dynojet is not going to put any more wear on the car than a WOT blast would. how many times do you hit 8,000rpm a day? shit... i might do it once or twice on the way to work by itself just getting on the hwy, or passing someone going 40mph on the tollway.

cars are meant to be driven...... not ot mention my 03 only has 35k on the clock, so neener neener neener

i'm sorry but this is ricer mentality...

unless of course you're doing something purely for aesthetics... (which... well... in most cases still ends up in the category above)

if you feel there is a difference when there isnt a difference, you're lying to yourself.

and lying to yourself is just sad, folks
What a ridiculous statement. Ricer mentality!! Get the hell out of here.
If you put a part in and you can feel a gain that is good enough. A dyno will not change any power if you dyno it. So either way you will have the same power.
If you can feel a definite difference, there is some sort of a gain there. Be small or only down low etc, there is something.
I didn't dyno after my test pipe or exhaust or intake. Did a final dyno tune after installing my vafc so it could be tuned. I know my car is faster than stock by a bit now even though I don't have a baseline.
I do have gears though so that helps out a good bit too. No dyno needed there obviously.

your face is retarded... get the hell out of here!

NO ONE can feel a couple rwhp, period. if you put half these damn aftermarket exhausts, intakes, headers, etc for the f20 and f22 that are dyno proven to make 1rwhp here and 2rwhp there or even LOSE power *coughARCcough* and you feel a difference its all in your damn head.

but you're the one with a few things done and a dyno to prove it... so i dont know why you're in here trying to argue, because like it or not, you're on MY side homie

I believe that some folks feeling "gains" after a certain mod is a placebo effect, same way a patient will feel "better" after being given an empty pill. I would not go as far as to say anyone is trying to mislead, but when one feels gains and the dyno comes with a loss.. well, the numbers don't lie. MY .02 cents

If you know your car well enough......a couple of rwhp is noticeable. It translates over in more ways than just "a couple of rwhp". Torque may be increased which my friend is definitely felt. Also the curve of the power can be altered and felt as well.

I'm not sure your friend thinks he is your "homie" after that personal jab. Tell me what you get out of all these personal attacks i have read by you? It must be the only way the emphasize your nonexistant points of argument. It basiclly boils down to your opinions, and others that dont agree. You are going to live a long, lonely life "homie".
