Best money I spent on my '06.

Which HFC did you end up going with? The last one I tried wouldn't respond much below 5k when tuning.

Pretty sure he has a Berk HFC, as do I. I had Berk make the inlet on mine 63mm and outlet 70mm to match my header outlet & catback inlet. My VTEC engagement is set to 3400rpm after tuning. Which HFC did you try (brand, sizing, other mods)?

Mine is the Berk 63.5mm cat. VTEC is set at 3600 via a Gernby FlashPro road tune. 93 octane (if that makes any difference). About 1100' ASL (above sea level). Tanabe Medalion Touring exhaust is a nominal 60mm.

I went with the SOS Slightly larger TB. Makes the throttle body match up perfectly to the slightly larger 04 intake manifold. It has a taper design, flat screws and thinner sleeker billet throttle body machined exactly so it wont 'stick' like ive heard other TB's do. I havnt installed it yet but will give a review when i do. I'm going to pair it with a thermal TB gasket and thermal intake manifold gasket aswell. It was this or 70mm bored intake mani with 70mm TB which would give best top end performance but i went with something that will actually enhance throttle tip im and drivability. For top end i plan to shove many psi's of forced air from a big turbo anyway

^^^ 00-05 manifold openings are identical at 62.5mm. You still want to bore out the opening 1.5mm to get a true 64mm port match up an realize the full flow benefits of that TB. I run the SOS one as well, for the added benefits of its improved seals for spraying water/meth.

The back of tb and manifold opening when bolted up don't line up perfectly, so its more like 1mm on one side and .5 on the other.

Hmmm, mine was a Berk as well. Maybe the tuner at the time was leaving a VTEC kick in there for some reason? I ended up selling it a few years ago but have always wondered why I didn't see the same results...
