Default Removed AEM EMS replacing with stock ECU ?

I was don't have the original ecm and I don't care to order one then tow the car to the dealer and have them program it.

My question is. If I order an ignition and ecm set from ebay for my ap1 since my 01 has the factory optional alarm installed can I simply unplug the brain for it and be done with it?
I know I have read if the alarm unit does not match up the car still won't start so before I spend the money I wanted to know if anyone has had experience with this issue. Thank you

The Key needs to be programmed to match the ECU.

I'd call the dealership and ask them if it's enough to bring down your ownership (which has the vin #) along with the ECU. This way you don't need to tow your car.

the ecu and key will both be matching so the immobilizer will be disabled. The alarm will not match because it wont be from the car the ignition and key came from. So my question is since this factory alarm system is plug and play can I simply remove it and be done with it.

My bad. I don't know, but I would assume so.
