Default Wink mirror with OEM hardtop

Im just wondering if anyone here is running a wink mirror/5 panel "golf cart" mirror with an OEM hardtop? And if it actually works with eliminating tr blind spots? I know those mirrors are rediculous and pointless with a soft top but the hardtop has a pretty wide rear window so I imagine it'd work pretty good. It's just such a hassle when I'm trying to check my blind spots merging onto another lane when I'm strapped down with a 4 point harness. I have to undo my harness to be able to lean forward and then look over to the side and then lean back again and re-tighten my harness everytime I switch lanes in heavy traffic.

Personally I would opt for those small convex "blind spot" mirrors that apply to your existing side mirrors rather than a Wink type mirror.

^ I have the wide side mirrors and no rear view mirror lol. Or you could just take the top off and put the top down, you can see everything lol.

I don't understand the need for those huge mirrors. I have an aftermarket soft top with a smaller than OEM rear window, APR side mirrors, horrendous traffic and fellow commuters who think a turn signal magically opens up a space to merge in. Properly aligned mirrors and a simple head check works fine. The only thing that could sneak up on me is a guy on a luge. Also, with all that mirror area, wouldn't rear headlight glare be bad at night?

Wink users, speak!

harnesses for a DD are such a pain in the ass, why would you want to do that?

anyhow, i would suggest the convex blue side mirrors that one of our vendors sells. It is great at eliminating blind spots.

Being strapped in does have its downsides for sure, but I seem to do okay with a convex broadway mirror and Moddiction convex replacement door mirrors

It bolts right in. I have had one and I went back to the OEM mirror. Strapped in is just one thing, but with a HANS and a full containment seat, you can use all you can get.
