K&N setup showing the cradle clamp. I had to use the bigger clamp to close the cradle and then slip the correct clamp over it.

Any slight power increase is secondary to the wonderful sound this produces on full throttle. There's no doubt when the cam changes! More than justifies the expense in my opinion,

Cradle clamp? Can you explain as to what's the advantage of this clamp?

it keeps the intake tube stationary & from vibrating against the underside of the hood & other areas. the heat shield opening the tube fits through would certainly start cutting into the tube over time w/out the cradle clamp.

Similar to my situation where I bought my FIPK for $100, not realizing I was missing the hardware such as the hoses and securing hangers. Because I was missing more than 4-5 parts, K&N charged me $75 for a complete hardware kit. The total then became $175...and holy crap man, I wasn't expected this number.

Did anyone with the CT Engineering Ice Box see a rise in IATs with respect to ambient air temperature after they installed the intake? Mine have gone up significantly and I'm a little skeptical of the way the intake moves the sensor from the top of the inlet pipe to the bottom, right behind the radiator.

I recently received the CT-engineering intake. The intake tube sections have a very rough finish throughout. Almost like sand particles embedded.

Does anyone else have this issue?

I was actually able to use my fingernail to scrape a couple piecesoff.

My concern is that the particles may dislodge from the inside of the pipe and get sucked into the engine..

Sounds like poor QC from the casting process.
