Although they did scrap the ACS event in Feb. Sunday 3/3 at BW is the first event.
That image was posted Feb 4 on Facebook, but Ryan posted the amended schedule here Feb 12... I'm assuming the schedule here is more accurate

Is S2K Challenge alive and ok? I wanted to come down for my first event from AZ but not finding results/2019 rules.

If you show up to the Sep 8 event for Buttonwillow CW13, there should be a pretty big turn out of cars - it's generally the most popular venue.

Summer is a break since most people don't like tracking in +100F California heat.

I've been an inconsistent attendee, so I can't speak to the health of the series overall. The last events that I attended Chuckwalla and the ones in 2018 had pretty decent turn out. Don't know when I'm returning though, just had a kid... lols.... The only driving I've been doing is in Assetto Corsa and AC-competizione.

I don't want to feel obligated to play because i'm on a subscription service. Plus, I don't have anywhere near the time to devote to it anymore with the newborn. I may reconsider it in the future since match making is non-existent in ACC right now.

Is competizione an additional purchase to AC? Or do I get it if I already had the base game?

Completely different game. Also a very different AC - only get ACC if you're really into GT3 cars and racing. I would consider it still an early access title at this point. Also, the game isn't open to modding, so content is quite limited. It's locked down the the Blancpain series.

That said, for what it is offering, I like it. I far prefer the GT3 content in ACC over the GT3 content in AC.

I use AC for classic cars and H-pattern cars, but for a relaxing GT3 drive - ACC.
