Thanks Josh. While we obviously are in business to make money, we are committed to providing enthusiasts with suspension components that work. We have built a solid reputation of taking care of people and doing things right. And yes, there is always two sides to every story.

I was also assured I had enough rear bump.

They're super nice guys but they also have a business to run.
Beau will also promise you that you'll be taken care of but Beau isn't the owner.
Of course we have a business to run and are also interested in providing customers with great suspension components. We opened our doors to you, let you sit in on part of the R&D process. We spent a lot of time assisting you with the tuning, basically providing you with custom solutions specific for your car. We provided you with a discount on the kit as an early adapter, and gave you a 50% discount on modifying your dampers for your 'street' car to match our race spec (STR). We did our best to provide a solution with as little compromise as possible. You are wanting a street and race suspension in one package and are upset that we only charged you 200.00 for a 400.00 job to shorten both rear dampers from our original spec damper (which happens to be have a shorter body and more stroke than other manufacturers kits....i.e Moton CS) and we turned them around in a matter of days....we received them on 2/9 and they were ready on 2/13!

Above all of that, I have a question, are you happy with your suspension?
So far, I am happy with Ohlins TTX shocks. I also had my rear shocks shortened and returned to me in a timely manner feel my money has been well spent. I still refer business to PSI because of the way I have been treated. I hope to have my car ready by the next big event and expect it to run well.

Beau, seriously?

Let me get one of those 5K street dampers please don't be idiotic.

They were 5mm longer than stock dampers as originally supplied even though I was assured they were shorter. Stock dampers have a 47mm stop and the Ohlins had a 30mm stop as originally supplied. Remove the stops and what do ya know, stock has 22mm more travel. Suspension needs to be measured as a whole assembly as supplied otherwise the numbers are useless which is what I found out the hard way.

What are you to say when a company like this says "the force required to hit the bump stop is not possible" my answer was take video and see what's going on for myself.

Custom solutions? as in a shorter rear stop or longer front stop

I would do it all over again because I do like them, I would just go about things differently is all.
My comment above is regarding BS dampers, I don't trust their measurements is all.

What I learned through all this.

Measured from top hat (chassis mounting point) to clevis bolt hole center

Factory rear damper and top hat bottomed out with slight bump stop compression
13 - 3/4" = 349.5mm

Cut down 30mm rear TTX w/AST top hat bottomed out with slight bump stop compression 20mm stop
12 - 3/8" = 314.32mm + 30mm = 344.32 which was what I was given originally + 10mm for originally supplied stop = 354.32 (5mm longer than stock)

Definitely no complaints about the turnaround time. I would not hesitate to send them my dampers for work.

My gripe is being charged for something that should have been this way from the start. I was assured that these dampers were shorter as an assembly and they simply weren't.

It's really that simple

Why would you even call a TTX a street damper lol, I didn't buy them to cruise around downtown.

If your intent was to warn me from taking someones word on the BS setup then you were successful, and i thank you for that feedback. I have since asked for more details around this area via email with Beau to be sure there will not be a fitment issue. If anyone can confirm from experience that these rear dampers work for BS setup that would also help.

By street I am refering to a car that is not a trailered Race car.

The S2000 even in stock form is travel limited in the rear which is why I think the OE Showas come with external reserviours.

I know you guys know what you are doing, just want to make sure that you addressed this issue.

Thanx in advance.

Sweet. Thanx
Factory rear damper and top hat bottomed out with slight bump stop compression
13 3/4

TTX w/AST top hat bottomed out with slight bump stop compression 30mm
13 15/16

Cut down 30mm rear TTX w/AST top hat bottomed out with slight bump stop compression 20mm
12 3/8

I was able to get some more measurements, and Beau was halfway correct in this answer, they weren't stroke limited but they were travel limited

Do you mean from hub center to fender or the damper as a complete unit?

A stock damper with bump stop compressed about 3/4's of an inch is 11" from hub center to fender.
