Don't laugh too hard...
HaHaHaHaHaHa

... "No..."

No worries, I have been there many times. Two weeks ago, I stopped the events because I crushed the timing light!

Also, I drove to the event with the silencer in, which I normally do not do that was the first time. Perhaps the short term fuel trim was altered on the 3 hour drive up? Maybe just resend the current FP tune and leave the silencer out? I drove home with it out, like I normally leave it...

Yeah Marc... I laughed last night with tears coming out. Hadn't seen that in a few years. Things are so much better now. I told Imran and some of the 1st time Prosoloers to just relax like Jadrice says, and to look at my video, which is shamefully hilarious

Ohh Nooo!!

And the finish worker taking out my cones was funny, and my knucklehead friend Andy commenting was funny.

It was almost loose to the point that oil would come out, but not quite. I don't think that would be it, but what if air was getting in???

I was planning on doing a complete oil change and just leaving the filter since the car has less than 1,000 miles since the last oil change. Ideas?? I appreciate the attention to [my car's] big beautiful ass.
I have been using Mobil 1 for years and never had an issue with oil burning.

About the oil dip-stick try putting it in the other way around, you may have it backwards. Yes, you will lose compression and about 100hp…

I do not like mobil 1 in the S2000 at all! That is what i switched to when i first bought the car and had a timing chain tensionaer failure before the next oil change. I think the problem is Mobil 1 is at the low end of the spec for 10w/30 viscosity. Last time i compared data sheets for off the shelf synthetic oils, all were thicker than mobil 1 with the exception of Pennzoil only being a little higher. I used Valvoline, Royal Purple, and currently running Castrol and never had the issue come back. Do a search for Mobil1 and TCT and see it is an issue often seen in that combination of variables. As for the raised dipstick i think that is pretty normal when autocrossing.

Your car is so fast it pops the dipstick up in VTEC

that is a pcv issue. excessive crankcase pressure will pop the dipstick.

i too have had excessive burning with mobil 1 oil. so much that i thought i had to put a motor in the car. changed to agip synthetic, and the oil burning problem ceased to exist.

Yeah, I agree. I had dismissed a lot of the negative information on the Mobil 1 since there always seemed to be someone supporting it (Anthony?). I will definitely switch back. I take oil samples and send them to Blackstone. The OEM oil was doing just fine at 5,000 mile intervals.

I do wonder if the silencer affected the fuel trims, but even after 8 runs the issue was still there... I would think that would have been enough driving for the ECU to have adapted to the lack of silencer in.

I will change oil and then record the exhaust prior to the event, and go from there. Oil level was at 100%, not overfull.

Thanks for the assistance everyone.

As for the dipstick popping by the way, just put it in backwards and it stays in there tight.
