Forgestar F14 17x10, data thread
Thanks guys, I'm fine! Surprisingly gentle off. Would've been a lot more exciting if it was a rear wheel I reckon.
Anyway, video with pics and analysis!

The wheels are powdercoated, but they come that way (they weren't color changed or anything). 14 days on them with R888, RS3, and two days of RE71R which probably killed them real fast.
The car's fine, surprisingly. Spent about two hours hosing mud out from under it, only lost the splitter, bumper, and some fender damage. Also wore almost completely through the lower ball joint stud on the front left, so that needs to get replaced...
Now to find replacement wheels (that I will inspect every track day
)

"Oh My God!!! That's Awesome!!!"
Pretty funny response as your wheel comes off and passes you in the dirt...
Replacement wheels - either shell out $2500-$3000 for some volks (i'd go 17x10 +44 to leave room for a BBK in the future), or go with 949s for the budget route. FWIW, 949s have been bent, but as far as i can tell the Gen-1 6ULRs have not had a catastrophic failure of that sort that has been reported.
I know some of the 15" gen-II or III 6UL have had failures, but I know the 17" wheels have been pretty stout aside from bent lips here and there.
edit:
On a side note, what did you do to get your RPM gauge to be that color?

All I can say is WOW, and good thing you were at an off friendly track like BW.. At most tracks around here you'd have most definitely ended up hitting a lot more than just dirt.. I guess that's the silver lining in all this, as it could've been a whole lot worse.. Glad to hear the car made it out largely unscathed considering the nature of the off..
ho lee shiit
but he also ran some pretty ridiculous tires. none the less, all that cracking!
and also +1 to having a great attitude about something like that. i agree it could have been much worse if it was a rear.
